Mobile Inventors Program

Throughout the six levels of the program, learners are implicitly introduced to basic and intermediate concepts of mobile application programming. Learners are enabled to use and design their own apps from scratch while playing. Through engaging learners in a variety of communicative and edutainment, learners apply the learned concepts.

  • Introducing learners to the MIT App inventor website's online applications will introduce them to basic and intermediate concepts of mobile application programming. Through edutainment activities and applying the basic and intermediate concepts to the games, learners identify and use the tools while playing. Learners apply the learned concepts by engaging learners in various communicative and edutainment.

  • The minimum age of learners joining the program is eight years old. Courses have to be followed in chronological order i.e. one before two and two before three and so on.

    1. Learn the basics of MIT App inventor website.
    2. Use buttons and sounds in apps.
    3. Practice using layouts and math coding blocks.
    4. Apply the concepts in making apps.
    5. Apply the concepts by making games.
    6. Practice using notifiers and multiple screens.
    7. Identify the function and use of canvas.
    8. Make a basic application “a mobile game”.
    9. Use change speech to text and speech recognizer in making games.
    10. Use the mobile camera in application design.
    11. Use the clock component.
    12. Make a compounded application (a compounded mobile game)
    13. Practice the concept of programming.
    14. Practice problem solving and debugging.
    15. Use “speech-recognition” feature in an application.
