SCE Learning Modalities
In line with our mission and vision to provide lifelong learning, and extend the resources of School of Continuing Education (SCE) to the diverse needs of all learners and ensure we are catering to a wide array of students, and providing learning opportunities that fulfill the different needs, the SCE now provides different modes of asynchronous and synchronous learning modalities that aim at providing ultimate learning flexibility at all times.
Synchronous Learning
Is a form of education/learning modality in which learners and instructors are in the same place, at the same time, in order for learning to take place. This includes in-person classes or live online meetings.
Asynchronous Learning
Is a form of education/learning modality that does not occur in the same place or at the same time. It uses resources that facilitate information sharing outside the constraints of time and place among students.
