A Partnership between SCE and National Police College

 Following the successful completion of the first batch of nearly 1,200 of the National Police College cadets in SCE’s foundational English language program, an agreement was signed to extend the cooperation for a new incoming cohort. The initial program started in 2019 and includes 5 modules, each approximately 30 hours that develop conversational and comprehension skills.

 Given the School of Continuing Education’s (SCE) concentration on practical dimensions and its distinguished position as a premier language learning institution, Cairo University cross-registered nearly 300 students from its new credit-hour translation major. In the interest of graduating market ready caliber, the students spent the summer leading into their senior year at SCE learning the hands-on ropes of the trade. This partnership is planned as the first of future classes to come as expressed in a ceremony commemorating the pilot class’ successful completion.

English Access Microscholarship Students Meets the US Ambassador at International Cairo Jazz Festival

Young Egyptian students of the English Access Microscholarship Program (Access) met the US Ambassador and James Ketterer at the International Cairo Jazz festival which was held at the Garden Stage at Tahrir Square campus. The English Access program is managed and implemented by the School of Continuing Education.  Students participated and engaged in the #jazz workshop with Ajoyo and enjoyed different activities through the festival.
