Professional Diploma in English Language Teaching (ELT)
The Professional Diploma in English Language Teaching is a 150-hour program in teacher training that provides practical knowledge and skills in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) teaching and learning principles as well as designing EFL material and assessment tools. Professional Diploma in English Language Teaching is only awarded upon successful completion of the 6 CEUs of the Certificate of Achievement in the Fundamentals of English Language Teaching (FELT) in addition to the 15 CEUs of this certificate.

The professional diploma in English language teaching is a 150-hour program in teacher training that provides practical knowledge and skills in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) teaching and learning principles and designing EFL material and assessment tools. Learners get to practice in a real class and receive direct feedback from their trainers. Graduates of the SCE-FELT will be able to join the diploma three courses directly. Fresh trainees will need to join the FELT and then enroll in the diploma courses.

Diploma CEUs: 21 (6 CEUS for FELT + 15 CEUs for ELT)
Upon successful completion of this course, the learners will be able to:

- Evaluate various approaches and methods of foreign language teaching.
- Observe, reflect on and apply language teaching principles in practice.
- Develop a well-sequenced, outcomes-based lesson plan.
- Develop assessment tasks appropriate to learning outcomes.
- Design and adapt materials appropriate to learning outcomes.
- Demonstrate the ability to cater to learner differences, including special needs.
- Develop a personal teaching philosophy based on principles and best practices.
- Conduct research, present, and lead discussions on current topics in TESOL.
- Set goals for continued growth as professionals in their field.

- Pass the Standardized English Proficiency Test (SEPT)/Online English Placement Test (OEPT) With Live Proctoring and score course ENGGB2A
- Applicants must complete the Certificate of Achievement in the Fundamentals of English Language Teaching
- Passing ENGGB1D does not qualify learners to apply for FELT
- Good knowledge of PC applications (Microsoft Office – Word and PowerPoint) and ability to use the Internet
