Certificate of Achievement in the Fundamentals of English Language Teaching (FELT) introduces pre-service and in-service English instructors to the best practices in teaching English as a foreign language (ESL) by focusing on the four aforementioned areas. Holders of this certificate may then pursue a career in the field, whether at schools, language centers, or in schools of continuing education within ESL programs.

*One continuing education unit equals 10 contact hours.
Course Assessment
Trainees are assessed throughout the term by assignments (lesson plans, observation tasks, practical teaching practice, and written reflections) and a written exit test. Therefore, the final grade is an accumulation of continuous achievement assessments, for which the minimum accepted score is 70 percent. While absence does not influence the grade, it does influence the trainees' performance.

- Applicants must be university graduates (a copy of the bachelor’s degree is required at admission)
- Applicants must pass the Standardized English Proficiency Test (SEPT)/Online English Placement Test (OEPT) With Live Proctoring, and score level ENGGB2A, even continuing SCE learners
- Passing ENGGB1D does not in itself qualify learners to apply for FELT
- Applicants must have basic computer literacy
