Certificate of Achievement in the Fundamentals of English Language Teaching (FELT)
To become an English instructor as a foreign language, it is essential to know teaching methods and classroom management techniques, and background knowledge in language acquisition and sound assessment practices.
-
Certificate of Achievement in the Fundamentals of English Language Teaching (FELT) introduces pre-service and in-service English instructors to the best practices in teaching English as a foreign language (ESL) by focusing on the four aforementioned areas. Holders of this certificate may then pursue a career in the field, whether at schools, language centers, or in schools of continuing education within ESL programs.

Course Assessment
Trainees are assessed throughout the term by assignments (lesson plans, observation tasks, practical teaching practice, and written reflections) and a written exit test. Therefore, the final grade is an accumulation of continuous achievement assessments, for which the minimum accepted score is 70 percent. While absence does not influence the grade, it does influence the trainees' performance.
