Proficiency Test in Modern Standard Arabic (PTMSA)

Proficiency Test In Modern Standard Arabic (PTMSA) is a test that is designed to assess learners' proficiency in the modern standard Arabic language. It focuses mainly on modern Arabic vocabulary, grammar, structure, and writing. 

The PTMSA is a Paper-Based proficiency test in modern standard Arabic. The scores obtained from PTMSA are used for placement decisions of learners in SCE teacher training programs. In PTMSA, a learner is required to answer 100 questions in 90 minutes. PTMSA scores are valid for one year for native Arabic speakers and three years for non-native Arabic speakers.
