** Learners who completed a foundation certificate or AUC continuing education certificate are required to sit for the SEPT if they dropped out for a period of one year or more from the date of completing the certificate.

- Applying electronic resources on translation and interpreting, introduction to website localization, and investigation of the on-line market and environment of translation and interpreting.
- Translating effectively so that the target structure would be as close as possible to the original composition, striking a balance between naturalness and accuracy.
- Transferring different grammatical functions and structures from English into Arabic and vice versa appropriately, without compromising the meaning.
- Producing equivalent messages that are linguistically and grammatically clear. English to Arabic translation constitutes 70% and Arabic into English represents 30% of the course material.
- Enhancing the speed of the mental translation process, in addition to providing hands-on practice of the 3 different modes of interpreting.

- Applicant must pass the Standardized English Proficiency Test (SEPT) and scores course ENGGB2A.
- Applicants who score ENGGB1C from SEPT or passing ENGGB1B must take English for Translators SLET 101 60 hours.
- Applicants must pass the Arabic Proficiency Test (APT) with a minimum grade of 80.
- Applicants who do not pass the APT must take the Arabic grammar ARBF 101 course.
- Applicants must have basic computer literacy.

Admission Fee:
EGP 75 = A onetime admission non-refundable fee
Standardized English Proficiency Test (SEPT) Fees:
EGP 200 for Egyptians and EGP 250 for International Students = up to 6 working days before the beginning of the term.
Arabic Proficiency Test (APT) Fees:
EGP 170 for Egyptians and EGP 215 for International Students = up to 6 working days before the beginning of the term.
One-day service Test (SEPT) and (APT) Fees:
EGP 370 for Egyptians and EGP 465 for International Students= five working days before the first day of the term.
OR
Online English Placement Test (OEPT) Fees:
EGP 130 for Egyptians and EGP 170 for International Students = up to 4 working days before the beginning of the term.
Exam fees are non-refundable and change in admission test dates are only allowed 2 working days in advance of the reserved test session.
Online Arabic Admission Test (OAAT) Fees:
EGP 70 = up to 4 working days before the beginning of the term.
Course tuition:
Fees/course for Egyptians = EGP 1,200/3 CEUs
Fees/course for International Student = EGP 1,500/3 CEUs
