Basics of Egyptian Sign Language
This workshop aims to introduce the participants to the hearing disability and the different types of the deaf, introducing different communication methods with the deaf.

Registration instructions and tips, coupled with a clear understanding of policies and procedures, lay the foundation for a fulfilling and successful academic experience.
Basics of Egyptian Sign Language workshop will introduce the participants to the Egyptian sign language and its functions, correcting misconceptions about the deaf and people with hearing disabilities. It will also highlight the culture of the deaf, training the participants on how to sign the Arabic alphabet and greetings, introducing family, religion, governorates, countries, and adjectives that express different emotions so that they can maintain a conversation with the deaf using complete sentences.

- Recognize different types of hearing disability
- Correct misconceptions about the deaf
- Sign their full name
- Start a conversation with a peer using Egyptian sign language to sign their name and telephone number
- Use Egyptian sign language to talk about their families for 30 seconds
- Sign an occasion using the days of the week
- Sign their feelings and those of their peers using emotive adjectives
- Construct a sentence using sign language that includes their name, days of the week, and their feelings
- Describe their family members using sign language
- Sign different professions (a lawyer, a teacher, a doctor, a sign language interpreter)
- Sign different official documents by identifying a projected picture
- Construct a sentence using sign language referring to a specific place
- Identify the name of governates on the map shown on the PowerPoint presentation
- Sign different religions
- Categorize different countries to Arabi and foreign countries
- Mention the country they wish to visit using letters and sign language
