International Collaboration Advances New Food Safety Certification
SCE was honored to welcome a representative from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) as part of the preparations for introducing a new Food Safety Certification.
The visit brought together key partners, including representatives from the U.S. Embassy in Egypt and Venture37, the implementing arm for agricultural development initiatives. Discussions focused on developing a practical, industry-relevant certification that will prepare the next generation of food safety inspectors to meet the growing demands of the sector.
Designed for individuals who are new to or interested in the field of food safety inspection, the certification will provide participants with the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to understand food safety regulations, safeguard public health, and help prevent foodborne illnesses.
Developed by international experts and translated into Arabic, the program aims to make high-quality food safety education more accessible to professionals across Egypt and the Arab region.
This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to strengthening food safety systems, building professional capacity, and contributing to healthier communities through internationally informed education.
