Celebrating the Tenth International Language Assessment Conference in Egypt!

With over 900 attendees and 70 expert presenters, this year's 10th Annual International Language and Assessment Conference in Egypt (ILACE 2024) holds extra significance as we celebrate the School of Continuing Education’s 100th centennial, which made it a true celebration of innovation, collaboration, and advancement in the world of language and assessment. From international speakers to inspiring keynotes and insightful sessions, thank you to everyone who made this milestone year unforgettable! 

ILACE has continued to expand this year. Due to the number of high quality proposals received, we have scheduled more than 80 sessions; we also are very pleased to welcome attendees and speakers joining us from throughout Egypt and from other part of the world. AI was a recurring topic at this year’s conference and sessions addressed a wide variety of issues related to AI —from the practical demonstrations and applications of specific tools to the more theoretical considerations for using AI tools ethically. 

We have been able to accept a large number of proposals that show how student-centered our field has become, with a number of sessions on authentic assessment, holistic assessment, personalized assessment, and learning-oriented assessment—among other important and timely topics. From our international speakers to the inspiring keynote presentations and insightful sessions, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to making this milestone year truly unforgettable. 

As we celebrate the 10th year of ILACE, we look forward to continuing this journey of learning and growth with all of you, both now and in the future.
