The course familiarizes the learners with the concept of logistics through the use of optimization models and simulation techniques. The following topics will be covered are; logistics overview, capacity management, aggregate planning, transportation management, and global logistics management.

- Identify logistics, the economic impacts of logistics, and the strategic framework of contemporary logistics
- Explore productivity issues in logistics
- Identify packaging fundamentals and materials handling
- Illustrate demand forecasting models, the order cycle, and its four components
- Define the contemporary transportation management and the five modes of transportation
- Design a transportation network
- Identify the strategic importance of facility location and the major factors that influence facility location
- Practice location decisions using simple grid systems
Applicants must pass Standardized English Proficiency Test (SEPT)/Online English Placement Test (OEPT) with Live Proctoring and score level ENGGB1A.
