
Graduation Ceremony for Employees of the Egyptian Ministry of Local Development
The Ministry of Local Development, in collaboration with The American University in Cairo’s School of Continuing Education (SCE) and Hanns Seidel Foundation, celebrated the graduation of a new cohort of ministry and governorate employees from the English Language Program. This initiative enhances workforce skills and efficiency in local development, aligning with SCE’s vision for accessible, high-quality lifelong learning and its centennial efforts to drive impactful education and community empowerment.
With H.E. Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development, in attendance, Dr, Tarek Shawki, University Counselor, and Dr. Mahmoud Allam, Dean, AUC's School of Continuing Education, the event emphasized the importance of continuous lifelong learning in achieving sustainable development.
On the sidelines of the graduation ceremony, H.E. Dr. Manal Awad, inaugurated the Ayady Misr Exhibition for handmade, artisanal, and heritage products from various governorates. This initiative emphasizes the importance of supporting local craftsmanship, preserving Egypt’s rich heritage, and empowering small businesses to thrive in the market.
