The International Language Assessment Conference in Egypt (ILACE)

The AUC's School of Continuing Education is pleased to announce the Twelfth International Language Assessment Conference in Egypt (ILACE 2026), which will take place September 4 – 5, 2026. This year’s conference theme is "Innovation and Integrity: Language Assessment in the AI Era."

Each year, ILACE welcomes hundreds of teachers, assessment specialists, education reformers, and assessment researchers from across the Middle East, North Africa, and the world. Participants engage in scholarly discussions on language assessment, addressing hot topics such as technology in assessment, high-stakes exams, test design, and inclusive assessments, which are gaining increasing interest.

This year’s conference will spotlight innovative and research-informed approaches to assessment, with a special focus on the evolving role of artificial intelligence in teaching, learning, feedback, and evaluation. ILACE 2026 continues its commitment to bridging theory and practice while fostering meaningful professional dialogue and collaboration.
