This program provides an in-depth, theoretical overview of network security principles using Cisco routers, Cisco switches, and Cisco Firewalls.

  • This program provides an in-depth, theoretical overview of network security principles using Cisco routers, Cisco switches, and Cisco Firewalls. Upon finishing the program, the learner will be able to:

    • Design, implement, and support network security. 

    • Detect threats and network vulnerabilities through hands-on labs.

    • Protect network using Cisco Routers and Cisco Switches. 

    • Implement Firewall Technologies as well as implement the Intrusion Prevention System.

    • Configure and set up a Virtual Private Network (VPN). 

    • Understand and configure the Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA).

    1. Build a Network scaled from small network to a very large Network  

    2. Learn how to install, configure, operate and troubleshoot midsize networks

    3. Perform basic configurations for routers and switches and implement IPv4 and IPv6 addressing schemes.

    4. Configure routers, switches and end devices to provide access to local and remote network resources and to enable end to end connectivity between remote devices. 

    5. Manage and optimize network systems and infrastructure.

    6. Configure WAN technologies and network services required by converged applications in a complex network.

    7. Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills using real equipment

  • All courses require the use of Windows-based computers and applications software in SCE labs for home assignments, presentations, and projects.

  • Fees will be calculated upon registration and course availability.
