SCE learners, whose courses require library research, and SCE faculty are given access to the AUC library, whether in Tahrir or New Cairo, based upon a recommendation from their Instructional Affairs (AI) departments.
SCE IA departments may recommend two types of access for their learners and faculty:
- Internal use and no borrowing privileges
- Borrowing the privilege of three books
The SCE IA department must guarantee to pay overdue/lost fines on behalf of their faculty and learners. New users are expected to undergo a library orientation session.
If the smart identification card is lost or stolen, cardholders are responsible for any library transaction made on the card up to the time of notification of the loss or theft.
